Elf Ranger commission -- FINISHED at last!

I thought it appropriate that my first finished piece of the new year be the much delayed Elf Ranger & Horse commission done for my friend Richard, the web wizard who hosts my web site at http://www.sheldongoh.com. Richard, my apologies for the super-delays on this. I hope you like it!

Some extra info: the writing on the sleeves are actually (badly transcribed) Tengwar, the Elvish script. His right sleeve (our left) says "Sorry" because I've taken a really long time to finish this. His left sleeve (our right) says "Richard Rocks". :)

This piece is done on 11x17" Bristol board in HB pencil.

Happy New Year everyone!

@Azhar - If you go down to Nanyang Art which is at the end of Petaling St, they sell a large sheet of Fabriano Bristol card for RM3.80. Each large sheet can be cut to make 2 sheets of 11"x17" paper, which is the dimensions for drawing comic pages (at standard American comic page size).

I also have two packs of Blueline Pro paper, but I prefer the Fabriano because it's smoother but still toothy enough for pencils. These days I use the leftover Blueline paper for sketches and for measuring the borders and so on for my home-cut Fabriano sheets.

Hope that helps. :)

Hey man your amazing. Could you post a few 'how to' pictures on how you get those faces down. Im having trouble with female faces if you could show me some sketches on how you draw them in your style (which i happen to love) that would be awsome.

~thanks

@anonymous -- that's the first time anyone's ever asked me to post a how-to. :) I haven't been able to draw much lately, but I'll see what I can do. Thanks for looking and thanks for the comments. :)
